The other week, I headed up to Portland for Christy and Matt’s engagement shoot in the Pearl District. On Sunday the rain scared us away, but thankfully the rain held off the next day and we had a wonderful shoot. I had a great time getting to know them better, capturing their love, and wandering around the Pearl. I love how the photos turned out and am so excited for their wedding coming up this month! I hope you two are happy with the photos and I wish you all the best as you prepare for your marriage.

Oh, where to begin…last Saturday I headed up to Corvallis to photograph Lindsay and Zeph. Lindsay is a dear, dear friend of mine. Our families have been close friends for as long as I can remember. When we were little the four of us, Lindsay, her sister Heather, my sister Brittany, and I called ourselves the “Little Women” and imagined we were the girls in the story.

A couple of years back, I recall Lindsay and I staying up far too late one night on a missions trip to Honduras and we began talking and dreaming about what we’d like our future husbands to be like and wondering who they’d be. Well, a little while later, Zeph showed up in Lindsay’s life and I started hearing about this guy named Zeph. One particular conversation that I recall involved Lindsay talking about Zeph and marvelling at how well he fit what she’d been dreaming of. Throughout the next year, Zeph started making frequent appearances in Medford whenever Lindsay would come down and he quickly became an expected member of our families’ get-togethers. Fast forward a little and I received the phone call that they were engaged. Now, almost a year later, I was blessed to take their engagement photos and they will be married in just a few short weeks.

Lindsay and Zeph, I am so excited for the two of you! Lindsay, I am so thrilled that you are about to marry such an amazing man. Zeph, I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have my friend be marrying.
